How we contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

At NATDIS, we have chosen to actively contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to achieve a more sustainable world. We take responsibility for our actions and constantly strive for more sustainable solutions. We try to contribute to the SDGs through our solutions that empower our customers to become more sustainable.

The UN’s 2. Sustainable Development Goals: Stop hunger

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 2nd Sustainable Development Goals through sub-goals 2.3 and 2.4.

We offer biosecurity solutions that protect against infection and disease occurrence in livestock herds.

We contribute to sustainable food production by giving food producers the opportunity to extend the shelf life of their products. Our solutions even reduce the likelihood of a product being withdrawn due to bacteria, fungi or viruses.

The UN’s 3. Sustainable Development Goals: Health and well-being

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 3rd Sustainable Development Goal through sub-goal 3.3.

We help fight various diseases. We have extensive experience with waterborne diseases, and our solutions can minimize the likelihood of being infected by waterborne diseases. In addition, we can help eliminate bacteria, viruses and fungi.

The UN’s 6. Sustainable Development Goals: Clean water and sanitation

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 6th Sustainable Development Goals through sub-goals 6.1, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.a.

By creating solutions that disinfect water, we contribute to universal access to safe water. With our solutions, rainwater can be used for drinking water, processes and production, and thus make more sensible use of groundwater.

We help minimize the use of chemicals and thereby the release of chemicals in production, cleaning, food processing, agriculture, dairy and the shipping industry, etc.

We give companies the opportunity to increase the efficiency of water use through disinfection of water, so that the water in different productions can be reused. By using NATDIS’ UVC solutions, the water can be removed from disinfection routines, and we can thereby save large amounts of water.

We collaborate with companies and organisations, e.g. Engineers Without Borders, to support and build capacity in developing countries. Here we can help with solutions that ensure water quality and water efficiency.

The UN’s 7. Sustainable Development Goals: Affordable and clean energy

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 7th Sustainable Development Goal through sub-goal 7.3.

We help improve energy efficiency by using technology that analyzes the lamps’ consumption, how much energy the lamp should deliver, and when it should turn off and on.

The UN’s 8. Sustainable Development Goals: Decent work and economic growth

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 8th Sustainable Development Goals through sub-goals 8.2 and 8.4.

We contribute to technological upgrading and innovation through solutions that are machine-driven, innovative, and that reduce the physical work of disinfection. Instead, an automatic solution solves this task and ensures consistent quality.

We try to reduce the material footprint by optimising production and reducing the consumption of chemicals. We want to reduce the production of containers, as we can recycle these materials. At the same time, we contribute to increasing the level of hygiene in the productions and areas we deliver solutions to.

The UN’s 12. Sustainable Development Goals: Responsible consumption and production

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 12th Sustainable Development Goals through sub-goals 12.1, 12.3 and 12.5.

We contribute to sustainable consumption and production patterns by reducing water and chemical consumption in productions and making them more sustainable. In addition, we work with companies to create more sustainable production methods, including in vertical farming.

We contribute to the goal of reducing food waste per capita by 2030 by reducing food waste in production and supply chains. Here, we can create solutions that extend the shelf life of products. In addition, we can reduce the likelihood that a product will have to be withdrawn due to bacteria, fungi or viruses by eliminating these through the use of UVC.

We help reduce waste production by 2030 by creating UVC solutions for companies that want to recycle their materials. These can be materials such as boxes for storing food, canisters, bottles and other containers.

The UN’s 17. Sustainable Development Goals: Partnerships for action

NATDIS contributes to the UN’s 17th Sustainable Development Goal through sub-goal 17.7.

We contribute knowledge, products and solutions for water and hygiene to developing countries. NATDIS collaborates with various organizations and companies to create a development in technologies and knowledge worldwide.
