Biosecurity in modern agriculture includes disinfecting incoming air, surfaces of any incoming goods, and water and feed systems. With UVC, these issues can be solved quickly, efficiently, and without chemical treatments. Avoid infection and maintain the health of all your assets.

Large goods can, for example, be protected against PRRS and ASF

Biosecurity on surfaces using CleanAccess UV sluices for large goods is used at many farms for incoming goods. The UV sluices are dimensioned as desired and delivered for assembly in modules on site.

The sluices are often made with fast ports and a combination of UVC light and “air flushing” with rotating nozzles, which ensures that loose particles are removed and filtered in the internal air system. The ports have interlock, and the size of the sluices is adapted to current needs and wishes, e.g., 3 minutes processing of bigbags at 360°.

UVC sluices for small items such as tools and personal effects

If you need to optimise your biosecurity for small items, we recommend a CleanBox. UVC on 360° of the products in a practical box, which is delivered as Plug and Play.

Place it between the unclean and clean zone, and connect it to power. In a matter of minutes, all surfaces on items such as phones and lunch boxes, semen bags and other consumables, as well as tools can be disinfected.

Choose between CleanBox 600 and CleanBox 800, which are two standard sizes in range. Of course, they both come with interlock on the double doors and auto clean after each opening on the clean side.

The largest UV system on incoming air in Denmark

Together with SKOV A/S, we have delivered a complete overpressure system to Molsgaard on Mors, where all incoming air is treated with UVC. There are a total of 57 chimneys, which are mounted with UVC light adapted to the amount of air drawn into the stables. On the farm they have a production of 1100 breeding sows, Landrace and Duroc boars as well as sows. During the installation of UVC systems, the previous air systems with wall valves and diffuse ventilation were converted to controlled overpressure. All the air is collected over the ridge and thereby avoids a large part of the pollution introduced by dust and dirt, for example by wall valves.

Jørgen and Allan Gade Nielsen have online monitoring for the UVC systems, which run 24/7. This ensures that they get a good night’s sleep even when there is a high infection pressure. Naturally, a Cleanbox has been installed at Molsgaard to treat the incoming consumer goods that enter the stable, such as tools and personal effects.

UV light against mucus and slime

All our UV systems come with thoroughly tested and with well-proven technology, and they are found in many places within agriculture.

You can find the UV systems in wet feed tanks and water tanks. Here they prevent growth of bacteria and fungi at the top of the tank. Cleaning becomes easier, and you avoid fallout of lumps in the feed soup, which subsequently causes problems for the herd.

In water systems, they are easily mounted into the water string, where they maintain the level of bacteria and viruses in the water – all the time. Pure water tastes better, and animals drink more of it. This usually results in better well-being.
